Anticipatory Effects of Rail Upgrades
Abstract
Arthur Grimes and Chris Young examine the effects on local house prices of urban passenger rail upgrades to Auckland’s Western Line that were announced in mid-2005. This paper tests the hypothesis that price appreciation is affected by proximity to Western Line stations.
